On Monday 31 August 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported that a suspect has been arrested following a burglary at a house in Esch-sur-Alzette on Saturday 29 August.
According to the police, at around 13:30 on Saturday they were notified of a burglary at a detached house in Esch-sur-Alzette.
A police patrol immediately went to the scene and apprehended a suspect inside the house. His alleged accomplice was apprehended shortly afterwards at a bus stop. Suspected stolen goods were also recovered.
On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspect apprehended inside the house was arrested and brought before an investigating judge.
