The Grand Ducal Police has reported an incident in which a Schueberfouer visitor was threatened with a knife after having a gold chain stolen on the evening of Sunday 6 September 2026.
According to the police, at around 21:15 an unknown person approached the victim, tapped him on the chest and then walked away. Shortly afterwards, the man noticed that his necklace was missing. Together with his companion, he followed the suspect and caught up with him a short time later.
The suspect handed over the chain, but the pendant attached to it was missing. The two men therefore followed him again. When one of them encountered the suspect behind a stand, the suspect pulled out a pocket knife and threatened him before fleeing in the direction of Allée Scheffer.
Police noted that an immediate search for the suspect was unsuccessful and that further investigations had been launched.
