On Friday 10 October 2025, The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) has opened its application process for the 2025 Prix Anne Beffort (Anne Beffort Prize), which recognises individuals, non-profit associations, groups or institutions that promote equal opportunities and gender equality within Luxembourg City.
Founded in 2003, the award is named after Anne Beffort, Luxembourg’s first female professor and co-founder of the Lycée de Jeunes Filles in Luxembourg City.
The 2025 edition will be based on the theme “raising awareness of gender equality through social media, with a focus on youth.” The prize seeks to highlight innovative initiatives on social networks that raise awareness, foster dialogue and inspire young people to become agents of change in gender equality.
The City of Luxembourg, on the initiative of the Consultative Commission for Equal Opportunities, awards an annual prize of €3,000 to those who work daily for a more equal future and a society in which everyone has their place on an equal footing.
How to apply: submissions should be made via the online application form at egalite.vdl.lu and sent by email to egalite@vdl.lu, addressed to the College of Aldermen, by Friday 21 November 2025.
