From Tuesday 16 to Thursday 18 December 2025, basketball teams across Luxembourg contested the final fixtures before the Christmas break in both the Men’s and Women’s Enovos Leagues, with the men’s championship seeing the season’s first defeat for leaders Sparta Bertrange.
Men’s Enovos League: Sparta’s Unbeaten Run Ends
In Game Day 12, Karl Abou Khalil’s side were beaten 82-85 at home by Arantia Larochette. Bertrange led by two points at half-time and extended their advantage to five points during the third quarter. However, the match remained closely contested until the final seconds, when Michael Carter Williams scored a decisive three-pointer to secure victory for Larochette. He finished as the game’s top scorer with 23 points. The result leaves Sparta Bertrange with a record of eleven wins and one defeat, while Arantia Larochette improved to nine wins and three losses, remaining third in the league standings.
Current champions Etzella Ettelbruck maintained second place in the standings following a 90-83 home victory over Mambra Mamer. In the final game of the year, more than half of Etzella’s points were scored by American players Adrian Jermaine Delph (24 points) and Nicholas Thomas Davis (24 points), with the latter also recording a double-double after collecting ten rebounds. Ettelbruck now hold a record of ten wins and two defeats.

Women’s Enovos League: T71 Stay Perfect, Bertrange Dominate
In the Women’s Enovos League, leaders T71 Dudelange extended their unbeaten run in Game Day 11 with an 82-60 victory over Basket Esch. Four starters scored 15 points or more for the hosts: Lauren Anne Van Kleunen (19 points), Svenia Nurenberg (16 points), Catherine Mreches (15 points) and Shalonda Renae Winton (15 points). Winton also recorded a double-double with fourteen rebounds. Dudelange now hold a perfect record of ten wins.
Closest challengers Sparta Bertrange recorded their largest win of the season, defeating Les Sangliers Wooltz 113-64 at home. Italian player Nicole Torresani led the scoring with an impressive 41 points, adding twelve rebounds to complete a double-double. Bertrange have one game in hand and a record of six wins and three defeats.
