On Wednesday 21 January 2026, Amicale Steinsel reclaimed fourth place in the Men’s Basketball Enovos League after winning a rescheduled fixture that had been postponed due to their participation in the semi-finals of the Loterie Nationale Coupe de Luxembourg.

At home, Amicale Steinsel, coached by Daniel Alves Brandão, defeated Résidence Walferdange 102-84. The hosts held a narrow lead at half-time, before pulling clear in the third quarter. With the score level at 58-58, Amicale went on an eighteen-point run, driven by the shooting of 25-year-old US centre Ashton Lee Sherrell, who already had 24 points to his name heading into the final period.

Walferdange were unable to regain momentum, with the final quarter played at an even pace. Sherrell finished the game as top scorer with 33 points, while teammate Malcolm Richardson recorded a double-double with 27 points and twelve rebounds.

After fourteen matches, Amicale Steinsel now hold a 9-5 record. Résidence Walferdange stand at 8-6, the same record as Basket Esch and T71 Dudelange, with the three sides sharing fifth to seventh place in the Men’s Enovos League standings.

Teams will have the opportunity to improve their positions on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 January 2026, when the next Game Day of the Men’s Enovos League is scheduled to take place.
