On Wednesday 29 April 2026, the Men’s Enovos League saw its first finalist confirmed, with Sparta Bertrange reaching the final for the first time in fourteen years after securing an away victory over T71 Dudelange.

Following their home win (73-67) in the first game, Karl Abou Khalil’s team took control early on the road, setting the tone from the opening quarter. Sparta Bertrange led 22-14 after the first ten minutes and maintained their advantage for most of the game, going into half-time with a five-point lead.

T71 Dudelange remained within reach and reduced the deficit to 50-52 in the third quarter, with Jimmie Taylor playing a key role in keeping the hosts in the contest. However, Sparta Bertrange responded once again, as Yannick Verbeelen and Max Logelin helped the visitors regain momentum and extend their lead.

The hosts mounted a late comeback in the final quarter and even briefly took a one-point lead with just under three minutes remaining, again through Jimmie Taylor. Nevertheless, Sparta Bertrange held their nerve in the closing stages.

Jarvis Williams, a 36-year-old US player, proved decisive, scoring 37 points, including nine in the final minutes, to secure an 80-72 victory for the visitors. He was supported by Max Logelin with sixteen points and Yannick Verbeelen, who added fifteen.

With the win, Sparta Bertrange sealed a 2-0 series victory and advanced to the 2026 Enovos League finals. They will learn their opponent on Thursday 30 April 2026. In the other semi-final, reigning champions Etzella Ettelbruck currently lead Amicale Steinsel 1-0, with game two scheduled for 20:00 at Hall Omnisports “Alain Marchetti” in Steinsel.
