On Wednesday 28 October 2026, Luxembourg-based company RECOPARK SA announced the recent presentation of its modular and sustainable parking concept at the Garage Losch & Cie Junglinster site, where it unveiled a prototype designed to offer a reusable alternative to traditional parking infrastructure.
The inauguration took place on Thursday 22 October 2026 in the presence of Luxembourg's Minister of the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, Lex Delles.
RECOPARK said it aims to introduce modular parking solutions based on the principles of the circular economy. The concept was developed in collaboration with Spannverbund Luxembourg SA, Ben Scholtes SA, Desa Ingénieurs-conseils Sarl, BS Steelconcept SA, Bétons Feidt SA and Gru-Lux Sarl. Losch Luxembourg provided the site for the construction of the first prototype, allowing the company to demonstrate its concept and explore its technical possibilities.
The parking system features a 100% dismantlable and reusable structure designed to adapt to different projects and available spaces. Depending on the configuration, the structures can range from 30 to 60 metres in length, include up to eight split-level tiers and accommodate up to 352 vehicles.
According to RECOPARK, the modular design allows structures to be dismantled, refurbished and reused for other purposes. This approach aims to reduce the consumption of new resources and limit the carbon footprint associated with parking infrastructure.
The prototype installed in Junglinster serves as a testing facility to evaluate the structure's functionality and technical capabilities before potential further applications. During the inauguration, guests toured the installation and attended a presentation outlining the technical aspects of the concept.
"With RECOPARK, we want to rethink parking by offering a modular, adaptable, and reusable solution. The realisation of this prototype constitutes an important step to test our concept and prepare its future development," commented Daniel Brito, General Manager of RECOPARK.
