On Thursday 21 May 2026, construction company Jan De Nul, who has their financial headquarters in Luxembourg, published its annual results and announcement of a record turnover for a fourth consecutive year.
According to results, with a total turnover of €4.24 billion, the company registered an increase of 6% compared to 2024. The EBITDA is passed from €777 million in 2024 to €812 million in 2025, following the same trend. Furthermore, the net profit increased by 12%, reaching €458 million.
The maritime sector represents 74% of Jan De Nul’s turnover. This includes the construction of offshore wind farms, the installation of submarine cables for the transport of energy, the maintenance of access chains and the extension of infrastructures porters.
The different projects of construction, rehabilitation and the renovations carried out by the company represent 26% of turnover. In 2025, Jan De Nul said it completed the work on the infrastructure for the F-35A fighter jets at the base air of Florennes. The arrival of these devices on Belgian soil in October 2025 aroused great interest from the public.
Jan Neckebroeck, CFO at Jan De Nul, stated: “Jan De Nul remains active at scale worldwide in the field of maritime infrastructure projects, covering both offshore energy and dredging works. Reading various construction, rehabilitation and redevelopment projects have also contributed to the realization of a new figure business record. The solid financial situation of Jan De Nul, notably the absence of this net, allows us to invest in new ships, terrestrial equipment and research. We are ready for the future.”
Jan De Nul has done 298 projects in 31 countries, from which 50% of the business figure has come from Europe. Jan De Nul said it can attribute this, among other things, to its vast portfolio of projects offshore wind energy. It added that the construction of a new port in Senegal contributed significantly to the increased turnover in Africa. The Middle East, North America and the South, as well as Asia also remain important in the market.
In addition, the company stated that it continues to invest in expansion and expansion renewal of the dredging fleet and focus on its innovative remediation techniques.
Jan De Nul added that currently it is building a new deep-water port in Senegal.
Jan Neckebroeck concluded: “Our biggest asset remains our team of more than 8,800 colleagues worldwide. We also continue to invest in them.”
