The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) has announced that the biennial Kockeldiko nature festival will take place on Sunday 5 July 2026 at the Haus vun der Natur (5 Route de Luxembourg) in Luxembourg-Kockelscheuer.
According to the VdL, this year's edition will mark the 30th anniversary of the Nature Activities Department of the city's Education Service. The event, which is aimed at the whole family, will feature workshops, information stands and games focusing on forests, gardens, wood, farming, bees, birds and sustainable development.
The programme includes animal observation, wood-fire cooking workshops, blacksmithing demonstrations, waste sorting activities, climbing, archery, horse-drawn carriage rides, creative workshops and other family-friendly activities. The festival will officially open at 11:00 in the presence of Luxembourg's Minister of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity, following the start of activities at 10:00.
