On Monday 29 June 2026, Luxembourg-based independent game developer Kim Strasser announced the release of a new free-to-play 2D platform game for iOS and Android devices called “Shaggy Run”.

Founded at the end of 2023, the new game is designed for players of all ages. It combines easy-to-learn gameplay with increasingly challenging levels. Players guide an automatically running character by jumping over obstacles, collecting magical carrots to increase speed, defeating enemies, rescuing cats and searching for hidden items, explained the developer.

The game features 47 levels and includes tournaments in which players can compete against friends, unlock rewards and climb the rankings.

According to Kim Strasser, “Shaggy Run” is available in English, French and German and can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Kim Strasser discovered his interest in programming while studying at the Lycée Technique Nic Biever. In 2014, after being diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome by the Fondation Autisme Luxembourg (FAL), he became actively involved in raising awareness of autism, delivering training sessions together with autism consultant Joanne Theisen to promote greater understanding of autism within society.

The developer said his passion for gaming and programming ultimately led him to establish his own studio, with “Shaggy Run” becoming its latest release.
