The 20th edition of Luxembourg's Relais pour la Vie (Relay for Life), organised by Fondation Cancer, raised a record €1,180,938 to support cancer patients, prevention efforts and scientific research.
Held from Saturday 22 to Sunday 23 March 2025, the event brought together 15,016 participants – the highest number recorded to date – with 537 teams taking part across both on-site (323 teams) and connected (214 teams) formats. Participants took turns over a 24-hour period to demonstrate solidarity with patients and their families.
“Crossing the €1 million mark together for this 20th edition is a significant and deeply moving moment. This figure represents more than just an amount: it embodies hope, generosity and the commitment of thousands of people. Thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend an unforgettable show of solidarity,” commented Margot Heirendt, Director of Fondation Cancer.
