On Monday 11 August 2025, Stëmm vun der Strooss, a Luxembourg-based non-profit organisation supporting people experiencing homelessness and vulnerable members of society, reported that it recently organised its annual summer excursion day.
This year, on 8 August, several groups of beneficiaries and individuals employed within professional reintegration programmes set off to various destinations across the border in France and Belgium.
The social restaurant in Luxembourg-Hollerich visited the Sainte-Croix Wildlife Park, while the Ettelbruck site chose the Walygator amusement park. The Esch-sur-Alzette site went to the Amnéville Zoo.
Separately, the professional reintegration workshops also organised their annual outings. The Caddy team visited the Amnéville Zoo, while the Schweesdrëps spent a day at the Euro Space Center. The post-therapeutic centre in Schoenfels headed to Dinant, with visits to the Citadel and other emblematic sites. The Immo Stëmm team enjoyed a bowling trip followed by a friendly pizza meal.
"These excursions are far more than just a moment of relaxation: they offer people in need a valuable socio-cultural experience that breaks the routine. I would like to warmly thank all my teams for their dedication and flawless organisation," said Alexandra Oxacelay, Director of Stëmm vun der Strooss.
According to Stëmm vun der Strooss, this day remains a highlight of the year, eagerly awaited by all participants.
