Boulder Klub Lëtzebuerg (BKL) and Boulder Klub Mamer (BKM) have announced that they are organising a third edition of the Women's Bouldering Festival (WBF) in Parc Brill in Mamer on Saturday 13 September 2025, from 10:00 to 21:00.
According to the organisers, the WBF celebrates and empowers women in bouldering. In 2023 and 2024, the first two editions raised a total of €2,000 for Europa Donna Luxembourg ASBL. In 2025 and 2026, the event will support Passerell ASBL, a local non-profit organisation committed to the defence and application of the rights of asylum seekers, beneficiaries and refused asylums seekers - including refugee women and girls.
"Our dream was to host an inclusive event in Luxembourg celebrating and empowering women in bouldering. The women's bouldering festival achieved this, welcoming all genders, ages and skill levels," said Tabitha Mann, one of the WBF organisers. "Our first two editions were successful, and we look forward to future collaborations with Passerell."
"We are pleased and extremely grateful at Passerell to have been selected for the 2025 and 2026 WBF editions. This inspiring and empowering initiative completely fits our values and we cannot wait for our beneficiaries to also play an active role during the festival," commented Passerell CEO Marion Dubois. "At Passerell, we firmly believe that empowerment and autonomy begin with a strong understanding of your rights. For individuals arriving from entirely different backgrounds, access to accurate, accessible information is essential. In particular, for women, knowledge of their rights is a powerful tool that can open the door to freedom, independence and meaningful participation in society."
Bouldering can be described as an activity in which people climb up and over rocks or artificial rock walls at fairly low heights without using rope.
Food and drinks will be available on-site.
Tickets cost €25 online and €30 at the door.
