On Thursday 11 December 2025, the City of Luxembourg (VdL) announced that the organisers of the second-hand book sale at Schluechthaus had presented a cheque for €4,084.67 to representatives of the Union Luxembourgeoise des Bibliothèques Publiques (ULBP).

The cheque for the proceeds raised was handed over to representatives of the Union Luxembourgeoise des Bibliothèques Publiques (ULBP) on Wednesday 10 December, in the presence of Mayor of Luxembourg City Lydie Polfer,  Deputy Mayor of Luxembourg City Maurice Bauer and members of Luxembourg City’s College of Aldermen. 

The 2025 edition of the “Second Chance at Schluechthaus” second-hand book market took place on Sunday 26 October 2025 at the former abattoir site in Luxembourg-Hollerich. Organised by the Lëtzebuerg City Bibliothèque and the bookstagrammers @Betweenthelines.lu and @Idealistatheart. 

The VdL highlighted that the pop-up bookshop has grown in popularity since its inception. In 2023, the first edition raised €1,925 for the organisation Stëmm vun der Strooss and in 2024, €3,942.40 was donated to Ile aux Clowns.
