Europa Donna Luxembourg, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the fight against breast cancer, has reported that it recently received a donation from the municipality of Betzdorf.
On 26 February 2026, the President of Europa Donna Luxembourg, Mariette Fischbach, received a cheque for €2,000 from the municipality of Betzdorf as part of the “Betzder hëlleft” project. It is a long-running local initiative aimed at supporting humanitarian and social causes in Luxembourg. This year, the project focused on breast cancer awareness and support.
This initiative, led by the municipality for the past 20 years, provides financial assistance to organisations across the country and reflects a continued commitment to social solidarity.
The project aligns with the values promoted by Europa Donna Luxembourg, notably the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle and social connections as part of overall health.
The organisation thanked the Betzdorf municipal administration, noting that the donation will be used to fund supportive care aimed at helping patients manage their condition, cope with treatment side effects and improve their quality of life during and after treatment.
