The Luxembourg-based Foundation EME Community has announced a concert tour across care homes in Luxembourg from Monday 11 to Friday 22 May 2026.

Organised in collaboration with the Grand Ducal Military Band (Musique Militaire Grand-Ducale), the initiative aims to bring music closer to people who cannot easily access concert venues and to create moments of interaction, sharing and emotion directly within care facilities.

Over nearly two weeks, various ensembles of the Grand Ducal Military Band will perform in several partner care homes across the country. The foundation described the concerts, which will be organised in an intimate format, as featuring “a varied and accessible repertoire” intended to “encourage exchanges with residents, their relatives and care staff”.

The organisers highlighted the important role music can play in well-being, social connection and quality of life, particularly for people affected by age, illness or loss of autonomy. Through this initiative, the two organisations also aim to promote broader access to culture for vulnerable audiences.

The tour programme includes:

  • Monday 11 May 2026 at 14:30 at Elysis Kirchberg;
  • Monday 18 May 2026 at 15:30 at HPPA Sacré Cœur;
  • Tuesday 19 May 2026 at 11:00 at Foyer ALA;
  • Friday 22 May 2026 at 15:00 at Senior Hotel Echternach.

The Grand Ducal Military Band is Luxembourg’s official musical institution and regularly contributes to the country’s cultural life through concerts, official ceremonies and cultural outreach activities.
