On Sunday 26 October 2025, Tarantula Productions, in collaboration with the Luxembourg Rotary Club, will host the premiere of co-Luxembourg production Live for Me by director Mark de Cloe at Kinepolis Kirchberg and Belval.
The film, produced by Rinkel Film for the Netherlands and Tarantula in Luxembourg (the third collaboration between the two companies), received support from the Netherlands Film Fund, Netherlands Film Production Incentive, the Film Fund Luxembourg, CoBO Fonds and Kro-NCRV.
Based on a true story, Live for Me sees best friends Ari and Zahra face life-changing challenges when Ari learns she’s terminally ill just as Zahra is ordered to return to Afghanistan. In a heartfelt act of friendship, Ari writes a letter to the government, offering her place in the Netherlands to Zahra: “I am dying. Can she take my place?”
The film’s distribution in Luxembourg is part of the Espoir en tête (Hope in mind) initiative by the Luxembourg Rotary Club, whereby through purchasing a cinema ticket at the special price of €16, attendees automatically donate €8 to research. The proceeds gathered from the premiere will support brain disease research in Luxembourg, in line with the Espoir en tête principle.
Live for Me will also be screened in all ten auditoriums of Kinepolis Kirchberg and all seven auditoriums of Kinepolis Belval, with a choice of three versions: the original Dutch version with English subtitles or dubbed in Luxembourgish, with or without French subtitles.
Tickets for the premiere are available at https://www.espoir-en-tete.lu.
