The Confucius Institute at the University of Luxembourg has announced a lecture by Annette Morheng, taking place at Cercle Cité in Place d'Armes, Luxembourg-Ville, on Thursday 30 October 2025 at 18:00.

The lecture, entitled "China - Colourful yet always black and white", is free and open to all, although registration is required via email: confucius@uni.lu or via tel.: 466-6444964.

The event will be "crossing boundaries of language and culture through photography and silent empathy," according to the organisers, who invited the public on "a fascinating photo trip through the kingdom of the middle" with Annette Morheng, a Luxembourgish author and photographer who lived and worked in China for ten years.

"Unveiling China's philosophy, history and geography with an unusual approach, opening eyes and minds beyond black and white trivialities," added the organisers. "The colours of today's China and the China of the past are viewed and explained from the perspective of a foreign travel journalist and certified intercultural trainer."
