Uni.lu 20th anniversary celebrations in September 2023;

The University of Luxembourg (Uni.lu) will host an event called "On the path to a knowledge society – The history of the University of Luxembourg" on Wednesday 17 December 2025 on its Belval Campus and online, from 14:00 to 15:00.
When the University of Luxembourg was founded in 2003, decision-makers had to navigate both national and global contexts, noted the university. Domestically, they needed to take into account existing structures and concepts of higher education. At the same time, higher education worldwide was undergoing significant transformation. The narrative of an emerging knowledge society, was particularly influential.
In this upcoming presentation, doctoral researcher Almuth Axtner will explore how these factors shaped the university in its formative years.
The free event will take place in the C2DH Open Space on the 4th floor of the Maison des Sciences Humaines in Esch-Belval (11 Porte des Sciences) and online.
