On Thursday 5 November 2026, the National Youth Service (SNJ) reported on the fourth edition of "BookAthon – Vu Jonker fir Kanner" ("By Young People for Children"), which it organised from Monday 2 to Wednesday 4 November 2026 at Forum Geesseknäppchen in Luxembourg-Merl.
According to the SNJ, the event brought together 30 young creatives who combined their skills to design and produce ten books for children aged zero to four in Luxembourgish, French, German and English.
Working in teams, the participants collaborated at every stage of the creative process, from writing to illustration and layout. Each participant took on the role of Storyteller, Illustrator or Graphic Designer, with guidance from experienced professionals.
The SNJ noted that the participants completed the ten books in just 24 hours of creative work, demonstrating creativity, commitment and team spirit throughout the collective challenge.
The ten books will soon be available in printed format, online and as audiobooks via www.bookathon.lu.
