Luxembourg non-profit organisation Inspiring More Sustainability (IMS) has announced it will host the City Nature Challenge Luxembourg event on Friday 24 April 2026 from 16:00 to 17:30, at Park Dräi Eechelen in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.

The event, in collaboration with the Luxembourg National Museum of Natural History (MNHN – Naturmusée), is open to IMS members and will see attendees embark on a search for species and learn more about the biodiversity in Luxembourg City. Guided by biodiversity experts and botanists, the event will offer the opportunity for participants to see the city from a different perspective.

According to IMS, participants will contribute to one of the world's largest collaborative citizen science projects (covering more than 400 regions), which involves collecting data on urban biodiversity for scientific, management and conservation purposes. Initiated by the California Academy of Sciences and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, this global challenge invites everyone to observe the living world around them: plants, animals, mushrooms and so on, to advance science.

The event will be in French and English and will commence from the pedestrian bridge leading to MUDAM in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
