Comhaltas Luxembourg has announced that Gaelic Sports Club Luxembourg (GSCL) will host the Williboard-Lazarian Cup at the Stade Gust Jacquemart in Luxembourg-Pfaffenthal at 11:00 on Saturday 26 September 2026.
With Ireland holding the Presidency of the EU, each EU member state has been paired with a county in Ireland and Luxembourg has been paired with Carlow, re-affirming the ancient connection with St Willibrord of Echternach who spent time in a seminary in Carlow.
The GSCL will commemorate the connection with a visit from the Old Leighlin club to Luxembourg for a Gaelic football match.
Entry is free and all are welcome to attend.
