The Union Luxembourgeoise de Patinage de Vitesse (Luxembourg Speed Skating Union - ULPV) has reported that Luxembourg athletes recently competed in international short track speed skating events, namely the MIST Games in Białystok, Poland, and the Easter Cup in Ghent, Belgium.
From Friday 27 to Sunday 29 April 2026, three athletes from the Grand Duchy competed at the MIST Games in Białystok. Artur Senchuk won the 777m in his age category with a time of 1:18.217 and finished second overall, while Vojtech Seman and Marco Kiesgen placed fifth and fourth overall in their respective categories. Together with Rutger Meijer from the Netherlands, the team also secured first place in the relay event.
On Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 April 2026, three athletes from the Grand Duchy also competed at the Easter Cup in Ghent. Sidoine Conesa finished eleventh overall in the Men Junior AB + Senior category and placed third in the Golden Sun Award ranking, while Marco Kiesgen also finished eleventh in the Men Masters category and ranked fourth in the Golden Sun Award. Elias Castan placed fifteenth in the Men Junior C category and achieved a personal best time of 1:22.318 in the 777m. All three athletes also took part in relay events, competing in different international mixed teams.
ULPV also noted that it is looking forward to welcoming skaters and spectators to the National Championships, scheduled to take place on Sunday 19 April 2026.
