Following its Board meeting on Wednesday 2 July 2025, the Luxembourg Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (LPEA) announced the appointment of Hind El Gaidi, Head of Luxembourg at ICG, as its new President.
Hind El Gaidi has been a long-standing member of the LPEA and has served on both the association's Board and Executive Committee.
Hind El Gaidi takes over from Claus Mansfeldt (SwanCap), who has led the LPEA as President since 2019. The LPEA expressed its gratitude to Claus for his dedication and commitment to positioning Luxembourg as a leading centre for private markets.
As part of the annual renewal of its governing bodies, the LPEA Board has confirmed the election of four members to its Executive Committee (ExCom). This includes the renewed Vice-President mandate entrusted to EY, represented by Laurent Capolaghi. The other elected or re-elected members are Martine Kerschenmeyer of Advent International, Gautier Laurent of Cinven and Gilles Dusemon of Arendt & Medernach.
Commenting on her appointment, Hind El Gaidi said: "I am honoured to take on the role of President of the LPEA and to contribute to the continued development of Luxembourg's private equity and venture capital ecosystem. I look forward to working closely with the Board, the Executive Committee and our members to strengthen our industry's voice and promote Luxembourg as a leading hub for alternative investments."
Outgoing LPEA President Claus Mansfeldt said: "Congratulations to the new President. Hind El Gaidi is a highly competent professional with a proven drive and energy, which will serve her well in leading the governance of the association during its next phase of development."
Stéphane Pesch, CEO of the LPEA, added: "We are thrilled to welcome Hind as new President. Her deep industry expertise, strong proactivity and international perspective will be invaluable as we continue to grow the LPEA's impact and global footprint. I look forward to a close collaboration with Hind and the new Executive Committee to drive our strategic ambitions forward and further strengthen our ecosystem."

In addition to its general executive function, the ExCom's mandate includes supporting the CEO of the LPEA in designing and executing the association's strategy and mission.
