On Thursday 23 April 2026, POST Luxembourg announced the appointment of Marie Bourlond as Director in charge of Risk and Compliance activities and as a member of the Executive Committee.
According to POST Luxembourg, the appointment will take effect from 15 July 2026, subject to approval by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF). This appointment represents a first for the group and reflects its intention to strengthen its governance framework in an increasingly evolving regulatory environment.
With more than 25 years of experience in compliance, risk management and governance, Marie Bourlond joins POST Luxembourg after a long career at Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL), where she has held the position of Group Chief Compliance Officer since 2012.
She has led numerous regulatory transformation programmes, particularly in the areas of data protection, anti-money laundering and internal control. She also serves as co-chair of the Association Luxembourgeoise des Compliance Officers(ALCO).
“The arrival of Marie Bourlond on POST’s Executive Committee reflects our intention to place Risk and Compliance at the highest level of the group’s governance. In an increasingly regulated environment with high expectations of exemplary conduct, this decision strengthens our ability to anticipate, manage and support the long-term challenges faced by POST as a public institution and a key player in national infrastructure,” said Claude Strasser, CEO of POST Luxembourg.
Marie Bourlond will be responsible for structuring and consolidating the group’s risk management and compliance framework, in close alignment with its strategy, business activities and applicable regulatory requirements, noted POST Luxembourg.
“Joining POST Luxembourg means committing to a group that plays a central role in the country’s public service missions. The sustainable performance of a public institution is based on strong governance, proactive risk management and a responsible approach to compliance, serving citizens, clients and employees,” added Marie Bourlond.
