The Asset Management Office (Bureau de Gestion des Avoirs – BGA), in its capacity as state agent for the management and sale of seized or confiscated assets, has announced the third and final edition of its public auction of luxury watches confiscated in money laundering cases.
Following the sale of 150 luxury watches in June 2024 and 202 watches in March 2025, the BGA will now auction 180 luxury watches during a public auction.
The sale will be held on Saturday 21 March 2026 at Casino 2000 in Mondorf-les-Bains. Those interested in bidding in person are invited to register in advance via the following link: www.lux-auction.com.
The sale is also available online or by telephone upon prior registration. More details, including a complete catalogue presenting the items put up for sale, are available on the website www.saisiepenale.public.lu.
In line with previous auctions, participants may examine the watches on-site on Tuesday 17, Wednesday 18, Thursday 19 and Friday 20 March 2026, during time slots defined after online registration. On the day of the auction, only photographs of the watches will be shown.
To guarantee a fair, transparent and secure sale, the BGA has entrusted the organisation of this sale to a bailiff assisted by an auctioneer, as in previous sales.
The funds raised during this sale will be donated to the Fund to combat certain forms of crime (Fonds de lutte contre certaines formes de criminalité). This initiative is part of the Luxembourg government's “crime doesn't pay” policy and aims to highlight the Grand Duchy’s commitment to using confiscated assets to effectively combat crime, by supporting projects and programmes dedicated to this purpose.
