The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they apprehended a man suspected of damaging several vehicles in Luxembourg City during the night leading into Friday 14 August 2026.
Police received a report of a person damaging several parked vehicles in the area of Rue Aloyse Meyer. At the scene, officers found damage to four vehicles, including a smashed window as well as scratches and impact marks. Objects that may have been used to damage the vehicles were also found nearby.
An initial search for the suspect was unsuccessful. However, while officers were still at the scene, they noticed a person matching the suspect's description. Following a short pursuit on foot, the man was apprehended.
Police confirmed that a report was drawn up and that the investigation is ongoing.
