The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a machete was seized during a police check at Kautenbach train station on Thursday 13 August 2026.
According to initial information, at around 10:15, police received a report that three intoxicated men were at the train station, one of whom was allegedly carrying a machete.
Upon arrival, officers found one of the men asleep on a bench. A machete was visible in an open backpack next to him and was subsequently seized.
The other two individuals were located on a train and were also checked. During a search, a bolt cutter was also found. As it could not be clearly attributed to any of the individuals who had been checked, it was also seized.
Police confirmed that a report was drawn up in connection with the possession of a prohibited weapon.
