The City of Luxembourg (VdL) the upcoming roadworks, which will take place on Rue de Bonnevoie, between Avenue de la Gare and Rue du Fort Neipperg, from 06:30 on Saturday 25 until 06:00 on Sunday 26 July 2026.
During the works, Rue de Bonnevoie will become one-way on the section between Avenue de la Gare and Rue du Fort Neipperg, in the direction of Rue du Fort Neipperg, while the section between Place Wallis and Rue du Fort Wallis will be closed to all traffic.
Several municipal bus routes will also be affected. Lines 2 and 9 towards the city centre will be diverted via Boulevard d'Avranches, with Wallis Quai 3 replaced by Avranches Quai 1. Lines 3, 5, 33 and CN8 towards the city centre will also be diverted via Boulevard d'Avranches, with Wallis Quai 1 replaced by Avranches Quai 1. In the direction of Bonnevoie, lines 3, 5 and 33 will be diverted via Rue de Bonnevoie, with Wallis Quai 2 replaced by Wallis Quai 4.
Line 7 towards Bonnevoie will be diverted via the Bonnevoie bypass (Rocade de Bonnevoie), with Wallis Quai 1, Gare Centrale Quai 2 and Léon XIII Quai 3 replaced by Gare Rocade Quai 2, Rotonde Quai 2 and Léon XIII Quai 2, respectively. In the direction of Kirchberg, Wallis Quai 2 will be replaced by Wallis Quai 4. Line 29 towards Hesperange will also be diverted via the Bonnevoie bypass, with Wallis Quai 1 and Gare Centrale Quai 2 replaced by Gare Rocade Quai 2.
The VdL added that the works may be postponed if weather conditions are unfavourable.
