Luxembourg's Pierre Da Silva was elected coordinator of the CSV International in March 2015; CSV International is the name given to the branch of the political party focusing on non-Luxembourgish members within the Grand Duchy.
36 year-old Pierre Da Silva is from Useldange and has been President of the Delegations of employees at POST Luxembourg from 1 January 2014, and a member of the CSV since 2011.
Since his election, he has begun to work actively with the new CSV International committee, in order to strengthen the participation of everyone.
The new coordinator defines CSV International as a bridge between Luxembourgers and the non-Luxembourg citizens within the CSV, the largest political party in the country. The statement from CSV International indicates that he feels concerned by the need for integration of the 45% of foreign residents in Luxembourg.
From the outset, he stressed, among other things, the importance of teamwork and cooperation of all those who are involved in the integration process. CSV International is firmly committed to support measures to promote the social, economic, cultural and political integration of all citizens of the country, regardless of their origins.
