Luxembourg's national railway company, the CFL, has reported that trains between Luxembourg and Longwy (Luxembourg – Bascharage-Sanem – Rodange – Longwy line) will be affected by strikes taking place in France on Wednesday 10 September 2025.
According to the information available to the CFL, no trains will run between Rodange and Longwy in either direction. Trains on the Luxembourg – Bascharage-Sanem – Rodange – Longwy line will start and terminate at Rodange station. CFL trains to Athus will continue to run as usual.
The CFL stated that at this stage the Luxembourg – Thionville – Metz line will not be affected by the strike (subject to any future changes). Regional trains on this line, as well as TGV services, should operate normally, although a replacement bus service will run between Bettembourg and Luxembourg stations in both directions due to summer works carried out by CFL until Sunday 14 September 2025 inclusive.
The CFL advised passengers to check its website or mobile application before starting their journey between Luxembourg and France.
