The Danish Church in Luxembourg has announced its upcoming Christmas Bazaar ("Julebasar") and Advent service.

The Danish Church is holding its annual Christmas Bazaar at the Moutfort cultural centre in Contern on Saturday 22 November 2025, from 10:00 to 16:00. This festive event will showcase a selection of Danish treats, including "glögg" (mulled wine), "Æbleskiver" (fried pancake balls), "risalamande" (rice pudding dessert) and "smørrebrød" (rye bread), as well as a range of handcrafted Advent wreaths, calendar candles, Christmas decorations and other creative crafts handmade by volunteers. Raffle tickets are also available at the Christmas Bazaar, with various prizes to be won.

The church will then host the Nine Readings - a music service and preparatory service for Christmas - in Medingen (23 Rue de la Chapelle) on Sunday 30 November 2025 at 11:00, to mark the start of Advent. The nine selected texts present God's history with humans: from the fall, the prophecy about the restoration of the relationship between God and man, and finally salvation. The Danish Church choir will participate with choral singing. There will also be an opportunity to sing along to Danish Advent and Christmas hymns.

Afterwards, the girls will practise the Lucia procession in preparation for the Lucia service, which is taking place on Sunday 14 December 2025 at 16:00.
