POST Luxembourg has announced that it will issue eleven new special stamps on Tuesday 6 May 2025.

These special stamps will celebrate the World Expo in Osaka, Japan (Expo 2025 Osaka), the Luxembourg Urban Garden (LUGA) open-air exhibition and the 25th anniversary of Grand Duke Henri's accession to the throne, as well as the construction of Europe (series on the 40th anniversary of the Schengen Agreement), Luxembourgish women's rights activist Marguerite Mongenast-Servais, Father Bettendorf (Jean-Philippe Bettendorff) and the special EUROPA series, dedicated to national archaeological discoveries.

POST Luxembourg pointed out that two of the stamps feature unusual shapes and materials. On the occasion of LUGA (7 May to 18 October 2025), POST is issuing a special sheetlet containing a packet of wild plant seeds. In addition, Luxembourg is getting its first embroidered stamp, to mark 25 years of Grand Duke Henri's reign.

Dedicated exclusively to this new stamp issue, the May 2025 Philatelux publication lists the various stamps and provides information on their respective characteristics and designs.

This new issue also provides the public with an opportunity to discover the new Philatelic Counter (Guichet Philatélique), now located at the Espace POST Luxembourg-Gare. The move from Cloche d’Or to Luxembourg-Gare has reportedly allowed POST Philately to offer a more central and accessible location with revised opening hours (Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 12:00).

The new special stamps are available from Tuesday 6 May 2025 via the POST Philately online shop (www.postphilately.lu), at the Philatelic Counter (Espace POST Luxembourg-Gare) and in all Espace POST stores and post offices.
