Luxembourg-based interior furnishings retailer Abitare has announced the launch of Abitare Pets, a new concept store dedicated to pet accessories, furniture and design, scheduled to open on Thursday 29 October 2026.
The new 150 m² store, located at the Langwies shopping centre in Junglinster, will offer products for dogs and cats, with a focus on design, comfort and materials intended to complement contemporary home interiors.
According to the company, the launch marks a new chapter in its development after 29 years in the interior design sector, including 22 years with its Abitare Kids brand, which specialises in children's furnishings.
Abitare said the new concept reflects changing lifestyles and the growing importance of pets within households. Unlike traditional pet shops, it will focus on “carefully selected collections” of furniture and accessories combining aesthetics, quality and animal well-being.
The company also announced plans to expand internationally, with a 400 m² flagship store scheduled to open in Barcelona, Spain, in 2027. The future store will be located near an existing Abitare Kids outlet, bringing together the group's offerings for children and pets.
