On Thursday 28 August 2025, the Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) announced the recall of a cheese product due to the possible presence of Escherichia coli STEC (E Coli).
The concerned product is Petit Camembert au lait cru made by Gillot (150 g), with Best Before 28 August 2025, lot number 183511, which was on sale between Monday 4 and Tuesday 26 August 2025.
According to the ALVA, the cheese may have been distributed at various points of sale in Luxembourg. Consumers who have purchased the affected product are strongly advised not to consume it and to return it to the place of purchase.
