Design Friends, a Luxembourg non-profit organisation has announced a screening of Thom Browne – The Man Who Tailors Dreams, which will take place on Wednesday 4 March 2026 at 18:30 at Café de la Place in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie.
This 2024 production will showcase the story of American designer Thom Browne and explore his impact on contemporary fashion.
The documentary follows the designer over two years and documents five collections and runway shows, beginning with his first presentation after COVID-19 and ending with his first “Haute Couture” show in May 2023 in Paris, France. Director Reiner Holzemer traces Browne’s creative process and revisits the early stages of his career, which began with a shortened grey suit that only he himself liked at first.
The film highlights designers' reinterpretation of the conventional tailored grey suit in new proportions and focuses on his gender fluid collections. It also features his appearance at the Met Gala. Organisers describe Thom Browne as one of the most influential and successful American designers today.
The film runs for 1h35 and is in English. Reiner Holzemer directed the production for Art+Vibes and Reiner Holemer Films.
The number of seats is limited and organisers require registration via https://my.weezevent.com/screening-thom-browne
