Luxembourg-based non-profit organisation Hëllef um Terrain (HUT) has announced a film screening and discussion evening dedicated to migration and living together on Thursday 12 November 2026 at the Cinémathèque in Luxembourg-Ville.
The event, organised in collaboration with the Cinémathèque de la Ville de Luxembourg and with the support of the Luxembourg’s Ministry of Family Affairs, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception, will feature a screening of “One in a Million“, winner of the Audience Award at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.
Directed by Jack MacInnes and Itab Azzam, the 102-minute film follows the extraordinary journey of a young girl over ten years, from Syria to Germany and then back to her home country. Together with her family, she experiences war, exile and the heartbreak of living far from home, revealing the complexity of the refugee experience.
The screening will be followed by a discussion allowing participants to explore the issues raised by the film, exchange perspectives and encourage reflection on these human and societal realities.
