On Sunday 18 October 2026, CS Gym Volley claimed the women's title and VC Lorentzweiler won the men's competition at the 2026 Luxembourg Volleyball Supercup.
The finals took place at the Centre Scolaire et Sportif in Waldbillig, the home venue of the VB Eagles Echternach, in front of a packed crowd.
In the women's competition, CS Gym Volley reached the final after defeating VC Steinfort 3-1 (25-15, 22-25, 25-14, 25-11) in the semi-finals. Their opponents, defending Supercup champions VC Mamer, secured their place with a 3-0 victory (25-23, 25-9, 25-14) over RSR Walfer.
The final developed into a five-set contest. VC Mamer took the opening set 25-22, but the Luxembourg-Cents team responded by winning the next two sets 25-19 and 25-22. Mamer then dominated the fourth set 25-15 to force a decider. CS Gym Volley regained control in the fifth set, establishing an 8-4 lead before closing it out 15-9 to secure a 3-2 victory and the Supercup trophy.
For CS Gym Volley, Adrianna Lepicka (No. 6), Laura Ruellan (No. 7) and Nadja Schaus (No. 9) played important roles in the victory, taking responsibility at crucial moments and helping their team secure the Supercup title.
Following the match, CS Gym Volley head coach Fabio Aiuto told Chronicle.lu: "It was a kind of dream and I'm really happy for the girls because they were suffering a lot this week to prepare this game. They were pretty nervous.” He praised the collective effort of his players: "So now they show that we are a team, not the seven people that they are on the court, but fourteen people. This is the most important thing."
Fabio Aiuto also highlighted the importance of his team's blocking against VC Mamer's Kelsey Chambers and the pressure applied to their opponents' reception, which he considered a key factor in the victory.
In the men's competition, VC Lorentzweiler advanced to the final after defeating CHEV Diekirch 3-1 (26-24, 25-27, 25-19, 25-20). Volley Bartreng secured the other final place with a narrow 3-2 victory (25-18, 21-25, 25-23, 15-25, 15-13) over VC Stroossen.
VC Lorentzweiler made a strong start to the final, taking the opening set 25-15 before extending their advantage with a 25-19 win in the second. Volley Bartreng responded by claiming the third set 25-18, keeping their hopes of a comeback alive.
However, Serge Karier's team regained control in the fourth set. After a closely contested finish, they secured it 25-21 to complete a 3-1 victory and lift the men's Supercup trophy.
