The ITF/Tennis Europe Small States Championships for players under the age of fourteen are being held at the Centre National de Tennis (CNT) in Esch-sur-Alzette from Monday 11 to Thursday 14 August 2025.
Girls and boys from Andorra, Cyprus, Iceland, Malta, Montenegro, San Marino and Luxembourg are participating in this tournament.
Representing Luxembourg in the girls' category are Mia Maric, Lina Osmanovic, Ina Palamar and Lya Pereira. The boys competing for Luxembourg are Lenny Muller, Noé Rousseau, Ethan Sunnen and Nick Wirtz.
On the first day of competition, Luxembourg players Lina Osmanovic, Lya Pereira, Lenny Muller, Noé Rousseau and Nick Wirtz secured victories.
The Luxembourg Tennis Federation (FLT) noted that, beyond the sporting results, the Small States Championships help foster connections among the young athletes. Accordingly, a training camp took place in Esch-sur-Alzette from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 August 2025.
Additional off-court activities are planned to allow the athletes to get to know each other and discover Luxembourg, including a visit to the casemates, as well as bowling and beach volleyball.
