On Friday 12 September 2025, the official draw for the Davis Cup World Group I tie between Chile and Luxembourg took place, ahead of the matches scheduled for Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September 2025 in Santiago de Chile.
According to the Luxembourg Tennis Federation (FLT), following the withdrawal of Chris Rodesch due to injury, captain of the SEAT Luxembourg Davis Cup team, Gilles Muller, has selected Alex Knaff (ATP ranking #662) and Aaron Gil Garcia (ATP ranking #1461) for the singles, and Alex Knaff and Raphael Calzi (ATP ranking #1667) for the doubles.
On Saturday, Aaron Gil Garcia will face Cristian Garin (ATP ranking #124) in the opening singles match, followed by Alex Knaff against Tomas Barrios Vera (ATP ranking #134).
The competition will continue on Sunday with the doubles, where Alex Knaff and Raphael Calzi will take on Matias Soto (ATP ranking #283) and Tomas Barrios Vera. The final singles matches will then see Alex Knaff face Cristian Garin and Aaron Gil Garcia play against Tomas Barrios Vera.
Also on captain Gilles Muller’s team are Louis Van Herck and Metti Reiter. The matches will take place at the Parque Deportivo Estadio Nacional in Santiago de Chile. On Saturday, play is scheduled to start at 17:00 local time (22:00 Luxembourg time) and on Sunday at 16:00 local time (21:00 Luxembourg time).
