Luxembourg-based international professional women's association The NETWORK has announced that it is organising an event called "Women Rising: Assertive Communication Workshop" at Amazon - Lux18 in Luxembourg-Kirchberg on Wednesday 18 June 2025 at 18:30.

The organisers noted that balancing several roles (professionals, parents, partners, individuals) requires clear, confident communication. However, asserting one's needs and setting boundaries often comes with (needless) hesitation, guilt or uncertainty.

This interactive workshop is designed to help women and parents strengthen their assertive communication skills in two key areas: at work - with colleagues, managers and teams - and at home - with partners, children and co-parents. Together, attendees will explore what holds them back from speaking up - and how to move forward with clarity and conviction, by building the mindset, vocabulary and confidence to express what they need, while preserving relationships and reducing resentment.

The event will also introduce "The Fair Play Method", which the organisers described as a transformative approach to sharing the mental load and emotional labour of home life. Attendees will learn practical tools to create more equitable partnerships and reduce invisible work, while gaining a powerful communication framework for lasting change.

Concretely, the workshop promises attendees an opportunity to:

- discover what gets in the way of assertive communication - and how to overcome it;

- learn and practise language that helps them speak up with clarity and respect;

- explore real-life scenarios and leave with a script for their next challenging conversation;

- gain tools to navigate the emotional labour and mental load at home;

- walk away with greater self-awareness, confidence and a mindset shift that supports success.

Liz Parsons (Comfort Challenge Coaching) and Alexandra Neves (Mind Tree Coaching), experienced facilitators and coaches who specialise in helping women lead with strength and authenticity, will lead this workshop.

The cost of attending this event is free for members and €20 for non-members. Further details, including registration, are available on Eventbrite.
