On Thursday 27 November 2025 at 18:30, Abbaye de Neumünster (neimënster) in Luxembourg-Grund will host the free concert “Beyond Walls and Mountains - Singing of Freedom from Gaza to Lhasa”.
According to the organisers, Luxembourg NGO Comité pour une Paix Juste au Proche-Orient (Committee for a Just Peace in the Middle East) and Friends of Tibet Luxembourg, the event will celebrate “the exuberant rhythms of Palestine" and "the sounds and dance of Tibet” and will feature performances from Radio Gaza and Norling Band.
The organisers said: “Life under occupation for Palestinians and Tibetans becomes a daily quest to survive cultural erasure and to maintain a sense of their identity, their rich cultural heritage and their deep rootedness to their land . For them, music can be a sanctuary, a space where the complexity of their experience is honoured and the enduring spirit of resistance and hope is celebrated. Through melodies and lyrics, they can reclaim their narratives, ensuring that the world hears their stories, feels their pain and stands witness to their unyielding strengths.”
