On Wednesday 28 January 2026, Syrdall Schwemm in Niederanven announced an activity week and held an official reception to mark its fifteenth anniversary, attended by Luxembourg’s Minister of Sport, Martine Hansen.

In her address, Minister Hansen acknowledged the facility’s role in public leisure, sports and family swimming, with particular reference to school swimming. She noted that Luxembourg currently lacks sufficient infrastructure in this area.

In his speech, Fréd Ternes, Mayor of Niederanven and President of the inter-municipal syndicate CNI Syrdall Schwemm, stated that studies are currently underway to assess a possible extension of the facility to include a teaching pool. He also highlighted that many staff members have been part of the team since the opening and thanked the entire workforce. He added: “As a long-established training provider, we have been able to train many skilled professionals over the years.”

The facility also expects to welcome its three millionth visitor in February 2026.

On the occasion of the anniversary, Syrdall Schwemm also announced an activity week scheduled to take place from Monday 2 to Saturday 7 February 2026.

The programme will include sports, animation and entertainment activities for fitness and wellness enthusiasts, families and children at no additional cost.

Each day between 12:00 and 20:00, visitors may test the new fitness area, including access to a fitness coach, free of charge. A special sauna infusion programme is also planned, alongside a prize wheel with various giveaways.

Syrdall Schwemm provides facilities for sport, relaxation and leisure activities. Its water facilities include several pools, aqua courses and rest areas. During the summer season, visitors may also use an outdoor lawn with a play area.

The wellness area includes two Finnish saunas, a bio sauna, a steam bath, experience showers, a sauna terrace and a publicly accessible on-site bistro. Since 2024, the facility has also included a fitness area.
