On Saturday 6 June, from 11:00 to 14:00, “Crea la tua Pizza” – a friendly, family-oriented workshop – invites everyone to roll up their sleeves and make, top and enjoy their own homemade pizza, baked on site in a mobile oven. Participants will be free to unleash their culinary creativity, whether they prefer a classic margherita or more original toppings. The workshop is open to all generations and promises a unique experience to enjoy alone, with family or among friends. Registration is required by email via: schluechthaus@vdl.lu. This event offers a unique opportunity for singers, whether experienced or amateur, to take part in a one-day choir under the direction of Chantal Kirsch. Following a series of fun vocal and physical warm-up exercises, participants will be divided into vocal sections. The event will culminate in a collective performance bringing together all participants. Registration is required by email via: schluechthaus@vdl.lu
14 June 2026: Reading Worlds – The Silent Reading Festival
On Sunday 14 June, from 14:00 to 18:00, Reading Worlds, a silent reading festival, invites people of all ages to enjoy a special moment of calm and relaxation in the company of fellow book lovers. Whether immersing themselves in a novel, leafing through an essay, rediscovering a classic or sharing a reading moment with younger visitors in a dedicated corner, Reading Worlds encourages everyone to slow down and reconnect with the pleasure of reading – together, yet quietly. Visitors are invited to bring their own book or discover new ones through a book exchange area and a selection of “blind dates with a book”. A subtle musical atmosphere, designed to accompany reading, will gently enhance the experience and encourage total immersion in the texts. Admission is free.
Quiz Night
On Friday 19 June, at 19:00, the VdL is organising a quiz evening centred on conviviality and challenge at the site of the former slaughterhouse in Hollerich. Putting one’s knowledge to the test while sharing a fun and surprise-filled evening with friends: this is the concept behind the “Quiz Night at Schluechthaus”. Teams of up to five people may enter. Registration is required by email via: schluechthaus@vdl.lu. Please note this event will take place in English.

On Sunday 21 June, from 10.00 to 14:00, Creative Sundays returns with a workshop led by artist Florence Hoffmann. Participants aged fifteen and over will discover soapstone sculpture and be introduced to the basic techniques required to work stone safely. Through shaping, sanding and carving, each participant will explore their creativity and develop their sense of volume and material. A moment of experimentation, sharing and concentration in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Each participant will leave with their own unique artwork, created entirely by hand. This event is suitable for people aged fifteen and above. Registration is required by email via: schluechthaus@vdl.lu. Please note this event will take place in French.
