Le Salon de Helen Buchholtz has announced the programme for Interlude 2026, a weekend of two classical music concerts taking place at Bridderhaus in Esch-sur-Alzette on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November 2026.
According to the organisers, this year's edition serves as a continuation of the Le Salon de Helen Buchholtz concert series and forms part of the lead-up to 2027, when the 150th anniversary of Luxembourg composer Helen Buchholtz's birth will be commemorated.
The first concert, Salon Next Gen, will take place on Saturday and will showcase emerging classical performers from Luxembourg. The programme features baritone Olivier Nilles, accompanied by pianist Doriana Tchakarova, as well as soprano Marie-Christiane Nishimwe, accompanied by pianist Manon Parmentier. The organisers noted that the concert is part of a series dedicated to promoting the next generation of Luxembourg's vocal talent.
On Sunday, the second concert, Rebecca Clarke – 140 Years: A Conversation Rediscovered, will celebrate the 140th anniversary of the birth of British composer Rebecca Clarke. The chamber music programme will feature violinist Sandrine Cantoreggi, violist Sophie Urhausen, soprano Gerlinde Sämann and pianist Claude Weber.
The organisers added that the two concerts are intended to bring together emerging performers and the rediscovery of influential figures in classical music through a diverse programme of vocal and chamber works.
Tickets cost €20, with reduced prices of €9 for young people under 27 and €4.50 for children under twelve.
