On Thursday 3 July 2025, Luxair issued an operational update on ongoing disruptions from French strikes and a travel update on the operation of flights to Crete.

Following operational adjustments, Luxair has confirmed the cancellation of its flights to and from Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) (LG8013 and LG8014) and Nice (LG8255 and LG8256) on Friday 4 July 2025, due to ongoing industrial action by French air traffic control (ATC). Passengers on these flights are being contacted and offered alternative travel options. To assist passengers affected by the cancelled Bastia flight on Thursday, Luxair has confirmed it will operate an additional flight to Bastia on Saturday 5 July 2025.

Additional delays and schedule adjustments remain possible across other destinations, as air traffic rerouting, capacity constraints and adverse weather conditions across Europe due to severe thunderstorms may cause knock-on effects throughout the network. Luxair said it is closely monitoring the situation and continuing to take all possible steps to minimise cancellations and delays. In this context, operational changes have also been implemented for Saturday to optimise aircraft availability and support passengers affected by earlier disruptions.

Luxair has apologised for the inconvenience and thanked its passengers for their understanding.

Moreover, Luxair confirmed that flights to Crete are operating normally. In light of the evolving wildfire situation in an isolated part of southwestern Crete, the airline said it is closely observing and monitoring developments in coordination with its local partners on the island. All Luxair flights to Heraklion and Chania are operating as scheduled. Luxair noted that both airports are located in the northern and northwestern part of Crete, where the airline's partner hotels are also situated. None of the hotels offered in Luxair's package holidays are affected.

At this stage, there is no impact on planned travel and operations are continuing smoothly, according to Luxair. The situation in this isolated area of southern Crete is reported to be under control.
