Luxair has reported that its flight LG 661 from Luxembourg to Malaga (Spain) returned to Luxembourg Airport on Wednesday 14 January 2026 as a precautionary measure following a technical indication during the flight.

According to the airline, the Luxair Boeing 737-700 landed safely back at Luxembourg Airport. Passengers were kept informed by the captain and crew throughout the flight.

A replacement flight with another aircraft from Luxembourg to Malaga was being prepared to operate later that day, while the return flight from Malaga to Luxembourg (LG 662) was planned for Thursday morning.

The airline said that Luxair and LuxairTours customers had been informed accordingly and received assistance in both Luxembourg and Malaga.

Luxair apologised for the inconvenience caused and thanked customers for their understanding, stressing that the safety of passengers and crew remains the airline's "top priority".
