On Wednesday 5 August 2026, Luxembourg's Ministry of State announced a change in the leadership of its Media, Connectivity and Digital Policy Department.
According to the ministry, Anne-Catherine Ries will leave the position after eight years to join the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, where she will take on new responsibilities.
Anne Calteux, currently the European Commission's Representative in Luxembourg, will succeed Anne-Catherine Ries with effect from 1 December 2026.
