On Wednesday 28 October 2026, BNP Paribas published its third-quarter 2026 results, reporting strong business momentum in its Commercial & Personal Banking activities in Luxembourg (CPBL).

Net banking income reached €189 million, representing an increase of 8.8% compared to the third quarter of 2025. BNP Paribas attributed the performance to a sharp rise in interest revenue, as deposit margins held up well across all segments, supported by increased volumes. Fees also rose sharply, driven by Private Banking financial and transaction fees, as well as payment fees in the retail segment.

At €82 million, operating expenses increased by 4.3%, reflecting inflation and specific projects. The jaws effect remained strongly positive at 4.5 points.

Gross operating income rose sharply to €107 million, up 12.5% year-on-year, while the cost of risk stood at 31 basis points of customer loans outstanding.

After allocating one third of Private Banking's net income to Wealth Management (IPS division), CPBL achieved pre-tax income of €94 million, representing an increase of 0.4% compared to the third quarter of 2025.
