A concert by Ukrainian pianist and Lviv Philharmonic soloist Violina Petrychenko will take place on Saturday 28 February 2026 at 18:30 at Pianos Kelly (17 Rue de Munsbach) in Niederanven.
The concert, titled “Poetic Landscapes of the Mazurka and the Nocturne”, presents a refined musical dialogue between Poland and Ukraine. The programme features works by Frédéric Chopin, Karol Szymanowski, Felix Blumenfeld, Stanislav Lyudkevych, Sergei Bortkiewicz and Viktor Kosenko, exploring the poetic depth of the mazurka and the nocturne across different cultural traditions, according to the organisers.
Violina Petrychenko is a pianist and musicologist dedicated to promoting Ukrainian classical music internationally. She has recorded eight CDs, five devoted to twentieth-century Ukrainian composers, and her recent recordings were nominated for the Opus Klassik Award. She is the artistic director of the “Sounds of Ukraine” Festival and regularly performs as a soloist with the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra.
Entry is free. A voluntary collection in support of Aid Raid will take place during the event.
